House Rules

Welcome to Bass Lake Retreat! Our goal is to provide every guest with a safe, relaxing, and memorable lakefront vacation. By booking and staying at our home, you agree to follow these House Rules. They are designed to protect our guests, neighbors, and property while ensuring everyone enjoys their stay.

Check-In & Check-Out

Check-In

Occupancy & Visitors

• Maximum overnight occupancy is 6 registered guests.

• Thetotal number of people on the property may not exceed 10 at any time, including registered guests and approved daytime visitors.
• Unregisteredvisitors are not permitted without prior

• Theperson making the reservation must be part of the staying

Quiet Hours & Gatherings

Quiet Hours are 9:00 PM to 8:00 AM.

During quiet hours, please be respectful of our neighbors by keeping voices, music, televisions, and outdoor activities at a reasonable level.

The following are not permitted at any time:

• Parties
• Events
• Loud music
• Fireworks

Children should not play outside during quiet hours.

Pool Safety

Pool hours are 8:00 AM – 9:00 PM.

For everyone’s safety:

• Childrenmust be supervised by an adult at all 
• Guestsunder 18 may not use the pool without adult
• No
• Slidefeet first  Head-first sliding is prohibited.
• Onlyone person may use the slide at a 
• Norunning, roughhousing, horseplay, or unsafe 
• Noglass containers in or around the 
• Nosmoking, vaping, or drug use in the pool 
• Nounstable inflatable floats that may tip 
• Keepall pool access doors 
• Donot adjust pool equipment, timers, or cleaner 
• Donot unplug or move the pool cleaning
• Guestsare responsible for any damage to pool 

Lake, Dock, Fishing & Watercraft Safety

The lake is a beautiful amenity, but safety always comes first.

Lake & Dock

• Childrenmust be supervised at all times near the lake and on all 
• Swimmingin the lake is strongly
• Childrenare not permitted in the 
• Donot feed or disturb wildlife, including alligators, turtles, birds, or other 
• Guestsmust follow all Florida Fish & Wildlife

Fishing

• Fishingis catch-and-release 
• Fishingpoles are provided for guest 
• Adultsupervision is required for 
• Guestsare responsible for lost or damaged fishing 
• Guestsare responsible for providing their own bait and 

Kayaks & Pedal Boat

• Lifejackets must be worn at all
• Usewatercraft only if you are comfortable doing 
• Returnall kayaks, pedal boat, paddles, and life jackets after 
• Donot drag kayaks or the pedal
• Alwayslift and carry them with two
• Guestsare responsible for damaged or missing 

Kitchen Use

Please help us keep the kitchen clean for future guests.

• Cleanup after using the
• Placedirty dishes in the dishwasher before
• Neverpour grease, bacon grease, oil, or food scraps down any 
• Allowcooking oils to cool before disposing of them in a sealed
• Reportappliance problems

House Care & Furnishings

Please treat our home with the same care you would your own.

• Donot move televisions or
• Indoorfurniture must remain
• Donot hang or attach anything to 
• Donot unplug Wi-Fi equipment or security
• Decorativeitems should remain where they are
• Basketballsand other bouncing balls are not permitted inside the
• Childrenmay not be left unattended inside or outside the 

Furniture & Bedding

• Mattressprotectors must remain on all 
• Pillowsshould remain in their assigned 
• Avoideating or drinking on upholstered 
• Guestsare responsible for stains or damage caused by food, drinks, alcohol, urine, makeup, or other substances.

Septic System

Our home operates on a septic system. Please flush toilet paper only.

Do NOT flush:

• Wipes(including “flushable” wipes)
• Papertowels
• Femininehygiene products
• Babywipes
• Cottonswabs
• Dentalfloss
• Anyother foreign objects

Smoking & Fire Safety

Smoking is prohibited inside the home, garage, pool area, decks, and all indoor spaces. Guests who smoke may only do so in the designated outdoor smoking area near the pool. Please:

• Properlyextinguish
• Disposeof cigarette butts in the designated 
• Neverthrow cigarette butts on the ground or near the 
• Neverleave smoking materials  Due to Florida’s dry conditions:

The following are strictly prohibited anywhere on the property:

• Candles
• Incense
• Fireworks
• Sparklers
• Wood-burningfires
• Openflames
• Unauthorizedfire pits
• Portableheaters

Evidence of smoking in prohibited areas may result in additional cleaning charges and termination of the reservation.

Parking

• Parkingis permitted in the driveway 
• Garageparking is not
• Donot operate the garage 
• Donot block neighboring driveways or the 
• Donot park on the 

Trash & Recycling

• Bagall trash before placing it in outdoor 
• Noloose trash or liquids in garbage 
• Recyclingbins are

Trash collection occurs Monday and Thursday mornings.

If your stay includes these days:

• Placebins at the curb the night

• Coveroutdoor furniture and the 
• Returnoutdoor trash bins to the side of the

Missing or damaged items may result in replacement charges.

Security Cameras

For the safety of guests and the property:

• Exteriorsecurity cameras monitor entrances, driveway, pool area, decks, and 

• There are no cameras inside any guest-accessible living areas.

• Asecurity camera is located inside the locked utility/maintenance closet solely to monitor owner equipment and supplies. Guests do not have access to this area.

Pets & Service Animals

• Petsare not 
• Serviceanimals are welcome in accordance with applicable 
• Iftraveling with a service animal, please notify us before arrival due to severe household allergies so we can prepare the property appropriately.

Mid-Stay Cleaning

Reservations longer than 16 nights require a mandatory mid-stay cleaning fee of $150. For extended stays, additional cleanings may be required every 14 days thereafter.
